    Turbo timers

    Morning,

I've been offered an Apexi turbo timer for £26 new.

I was just wondering if there is any better options?

I was originally looking at a HKS Type 0 or Type 1.

Can also cause trouble with insurance

Just cruise back for the last few minutes and your fine the turbos are water cooled so won’t take long for the temp to come down

I doubt it would be genuine at £26 new, they’re a good timer if you can find a genuine one, unfortunately the majority are fake.

I think I’ve got a blitz one lying around if you’re interested in that?

As the turbo is water cooled there is practically no need what so ever with a TT, outside of a few cases like track work ect and even then you should be letting the whole car cool in the pits.

Also a TT will likely leave you not only with dodgy insurance but in the eyes of the plod guilty as sin as you are not supposed to leave a vehicle running with no bugger in it.

Dont bother with one, like the VTA dumpvalve they are totally unnecessary and pointless gimmick
