s14a actuator issue
Whilst driving home last night my actuator arm on the turbo decided to ping off leaving me basically in 'limp mode'-no boost etc.Is it possible to reattach the arm in situ as it doesn't quite reach or will I need to take the actuator off and start from scratch?

just pull it backwards harder, it should reach.
it should be held in place by an 'E'-clip but they have been known to rust off. so a new E clip or an R clip or a bit of wire should keep it on.

It’s got a spring in so just pull it a bit
Hardest bit is getting the clip on id order a few as one is garanteed to ping off into the depths of the engine bay never to be seen again

Yeah. This has happened me before as well. You think your turbo just jacked it in then you realise it was only a 5 pence clip. Ahh the relief. The clip is pretty awkward to get on in situ. Prob safer buying 5 of them cause without doubt a few will ping off never to be seen again.
