Cool Old member now in the USA

    Hello All,

Been a very long time since I last posted. I sold my old S14a around 8 years ago, would be curious to know if it is still around and what it looks like now! (damson red/purple - T91 ***)

I relocated to Atlanta, GA for work around a year ago and decided it was a good chance to dive back into S chassis.

Out here they are sold as a Nissan 240sx, equipped with a non-turbo KA24DE that has a whole 155 bhp

I aim to refresh the interior as it is looking tired (230,000 miles) and investigate options for power upgrades (LS Swap? )

The car has lived in the south all its days and as such has no rust, so nice to have bolts that's just come undone with no drama unlike a lot of UK cars

Looks like a really nice car, shame about the engine though

Really like the colour and it seems like paint is in relaly nice condition. The US got plastic headlight lenses didn't they? TThey look like they could do with being cleaned up maybe.

Got any pics of the interior?

    Alright G, long time

Out of interest, how much did that cost roughly? JDM tax is getting silly here now, with an SR that would probably be a £7K car

What’s tuning like out there? Similar to U.K. for acquiring parts etc?

It is a bit tired looking and the dash needs some attention!

Yeah JDM Tax is pretty crazy out here also, not all bad though if they keep appreciating in value. The car cost me $6k, although it did have a fresh re-spray so I thought that was fair.

The tuning scene out here is crazy. Tons of companies offering suspension parts, engine components, interior/exterior mods, swap kits, transmission adaptors - you name it.

I did consider it for the longest time, but having seen first hand how an LS powered S chassis performs I am swinging the other way.
Massive aftermarket support, easy power - 500bhp n/a out of the 6.0 with little effort, availability of engines, low cost (although that point is arguable by the time you factor in supporting mods)

It is! would be nice to see if it is owned by a forum member, be curious to see what it looks like now. I know the guy I sold it too had plans
