    Duxford Spring Car Show 06/05/2018

    06/05/2018

Sorry this is a bit short notice this year, it's been a bit difficult to organise with their booking processes changing, however...

This has been a regular show for us now for many years and you're guaranteed a great day out!

Pricing is £13.00 per adult and £6.50 for children 5 and over. The ticket for this event includes entry to all the museum areas as well, so you'll get all of Duxford's normal attractions PLUS a car show! What more could you want?

We have been allocated a 10 car stand. All cars are welcome along as this is not a Japanese only show, 200SX's will be given priority, but providing your car isn't a shed, you'll be welcomed onto the stand.

For more info on Duxford, Check out their website http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/ It's a fantastic day out for the whole family

    PAYMENT
This year it will be a little different as you will need to buy your ticket prior to the event. As soon as the online payment system is up I will PM everyone that says they will come.

Can I bring my dog(s) to the Car Show?
As IWM Duxford is a working airfield, only registered assistance dogs are permitted onto site.

How will you be checking Vehicle Display Permits?
Traffic management staff will be checking for Vehicle Display Permits on arrival at the entry gate. Please clearly display your Vehicle Display Permit in your windscreen on arrival and throughout the day.

    Are there cash withdrawal facilities?
Yes, there is one cash machine on site which charges a fee for withdrawals. However, because of the number of people attending the Car Show, we recommend withdrawing cash in advance of your visit.

    Is there local accommodation available?
There are many hotels, bed & breakfasts and guest houses in the local Cambridge area. Please see the Visit Cambridge website for local listings and availability.

Can I smoke at the Car Show?
There are outside smoking areas on site. However, smoking is not permitted in any of the exhibition buildings this also applies to e-cigarettes.

Is there Wi-Fi access at the Car Show?
Yes. We offer free Wi-Fi access across most of the museum. Access begins as soon as you've agreed to IWM's terms and conditions of use.

    Will there be ticket checks?
Yes. You'll need to show your valid tickets when you arrive at the Car Show.

Can I bring a barbeque to the Car Show?
For safety reasons, you cannot have a barbeque anywhere on site.

    Is there a member's subsidy ?

I'm hoping to have Gracey ready. She needs tyres and a cambelt yet though.

There’s never been a sub for this one, we usually make sure there’s drinks etc as it’s usually members only event. Due to the short notice, it falling on the same day as Fapfest and the delay in getting it booked I’ve opened up to everyone this year so it would be hard to offer the usual to everyone. Depending on how many members there are I’ll see if I can sort something out tho

It was 12-50 last year which meant it took fecking ages to get in. 13£ is still less then it costs to get in to see the museum

True but when it started it was £10 per car, then £10 each for a while. Last year was just stupid, at least buying tickets in advance will help but I bet there are delays because some twat didnt bother and want to pay on the gate.

Hopefully they will make said tw*ts queue up separately so they only make one queue slow.

The price thing is just one of the joys of living in a capitalist society in that it will rise until the market won't sustain the increase. Maybe we should boycott it next year if they put up the price again.

Bump. Payment details are on the original post. Please pay ASAP as it will take about a week to get your vehicle permit. Please also forward your booking confirmation email when requesting the permit.

Dont think there will be many there this year, just found out there is a 250+ Mustang display at Donington for the Historic festival weekend so looks like i am heading up there this year.
