    Happy with 346bhp

Well been slowly chipping away and collecting parts over winter and this shite spring we’re having. Booked in at Horsham developments ages ago for a custom map and fitting of parts to say the least I’m very happy with the results the car goes like a rocket to how it was before which was aparantly stage 1a spec but turns out didn’t have the Horsham map but did have all the supporting mods and was running at 1 bar,the guys at Horsham did a grand job and I’m glad I took it to them. Next I’ve got to fit some evo 8 brembo front calipers and 320mm discs and find somewhere that will underseal it.
Spec is as when bought last September
    2000 w reg s14a emerald green with 57,000 miles
    Apex coilovers
    R33 gtr wheels
    255 fuel pump
    Greedy spec b boost controller
    Apex fmic
    Japspeed catback exhaust

    Spec now
    Act s/s clutch and flywheel
Hudson speed shop 3inch maf housing and r35 maf sensor
    Apexi filter
    Apw manifold low mount
    Garrett gt2871r
    japspeed rs turbo elbow
    Japspeed 3inch downpipe,decat(all of exhaust is 3inch)
    Deatschwerks 740cc injectors
Custom map on dyno from Horsham and put onto one of there boards

And that’s about it really has transformed the car I was after 330bhp but 346 was the outcome.

It’s the street sprung clutch clutch and streetlight flywheel
clutch isn’t much heavier than standard grips slightly faster buts it’s as close as stock feel you can get which I was after

I’d say you’ve still got room for more power with those injectors etc

Poncams headgasket and arp studs should see you at around 380 if all else is healthy

That sounds good to me I’m going to save up and perhaps this time next year get it done,I think next on the list is fitting the brembo brakes a uprated lsd and a bucket seat and a decent steering wheel.
Is it a animal at 380+bhp? Even with the power it’s got now all it wants to do is spin up and 2nd and 3rd gear pull upto 100mph is getting on superbike territory(I’ve owned 2 gsxr1000’s)

Plenty of quicker cars on the road. Once moving they’re swift but my mates rc8 left me for dead.

My other half gave me some words of wisdom a few years ago after I complained that someone was keeping up with me on my fave bit of road round here.

"There's always someone with a faster car"

Still. At 346bhp, they'll be few and far between. And usually pretty obvious when they are! Lambo's etc...

I like that and it’s very true it all depends how far you wanna push and driving on your local roads you know every pot hole and what speed for every bend etc. I’m looking forward to driving it in the sunny weather as it’s my Sunday toy and hopefully get out and do a few car shows and take it on track at some point when I’m happy with upgraded brakes a lsd and some tyres that grip better

Will take quite a lot to see off a well driven 350hp S14 on a road. Much more and you're just increasing your risk of failure somewhere.

350hp in my S14 on track was so much fun.
