It's taken me 7 years, but I've almost finished building my S14 back up. I went to test the wiring last night, and many components arent working.
A couple of years back when stripping the car, I removed the ABS control unit, and the loom that goes to it. At the time I thought this loom was only for the ABS, but now have realised that it also connects to the passenger door switch, and seatbelt pre-tensioner.
Do I need this part of the loom for other components to operate correctly? It has two earth connections on it, which makes me think I do. Highlighted below:
Also, there is part of a loom which I believe goes to the passenter rear quarter panel, but I have nothing for it to connect to. It looks like the aftermarket alarm system has been spliced into this, so I'm guessing it's required. Any ideas what this would be for?
I've studied the workshop manual, and I'm fairly certain the above points are the cause of my issues. I'll go round and check/clean all of the earth points later on tonight.
