VVT oil pump VS non VVT oil pump

ill be changing the oil pump very soonish and even though the part numbers are different (ie 69F00 VVT, 50F00 non VVT) is there any much difference between the two pumps so a non VVT could run a VVT pump?

    Thanks
    Ben

from what I can remember the oil pump drive collar needs machining down and one of the smaller front head bolts (the ones under the cam sprockets) wont line up.

Thanks for your reply buddy, i ended up going for a redtop oil pump in the end to avoid the hassle as I'm looking at getting the old girl back on the road as soon as possible .
