    Missfire on partial throttle...

Over the last week my s14 has started to missfire/almost choke randomly when cruising with very little throttle.
Tried changing the plugs today and the problem got even worse...

What could be causing this? Can it be a faulty coilpack?

It works spot on with full throttle the problem seems to be only on partial throttle/off-boost.

    I have VAG coilpacks.

It runs closed loop fine until it starts choking and I noticed that when it happens it goes way lean. Like over 20afr...

    - Checked the earths and they seemed fine except the extra ground for the VAG coilpack loome was a bit loose, fixed that.
    - Cleaned the maf and maf/tps connectors.
    - Changed the coilpacks.

Took it for a drive and the issue seems to be gone. Will have to change the original coilpacks back to see if the issue was with them...

But this car just doesn't seem to give me a break. Just as this issue seemes to be fixed the PAS pump started to whine very loudly...

The joys of old nissans aye! Every time I take mine out I find another problem lol were the vags new? Wouldn’t of thought one of them had broke down? Which vags did you use? Did you refit the cover over the top?

They were rather new OEM coilpacks. Maybe 3000 miles on them. I changed back to the old Hüco coilpack I still had. They have worked fine for maybe 5 years...
But I'm not yet 100% sure it was the coilpacks.
