    Vtc

Do you have a VTC tucked away in in your garage or shed? If you do I'd be grateful if you would count the number of sprocket teeth between a line through the centre of the bolt hole and dowl hole and the mark on the other side of the sprocket. Hope this makes sense. Grateful for any help. Thanks

I've got the cam cover off to be powder coated atm so should be able to help if I'm thinking of the right thing. Is it the sprocket for the timing chain??

This might help? Draw a line on the back of the sprocket through the centre of the bolt hole and hole where the dowl pin on the camshaft goes, out to the sprocket tooth on the side of the sprocket where the pip marker for cam chain alignment. I'm wanting to find out the angular offset between the pip and the line you have drawn. Any good...
Don't need an angle just number of teeth. Cheers

Great. Could you do the same thing with a mark on that face in the same place as the cam chain pip?

The timing dent is inline with a tooth at the top of the pic and the dowel centre line falls between a tooth so looks to be 1.5 tooth offset

if you want to eliminate the VVT you can just fit an inlet sprocket off a red top or a primera etc...
