Benifits of replacing elephant trunk turbo pipe to a hard pipe

Was thinking of replacing the old elephant trunk turbo pipe with a hard pipe, other than looking better are there any other benifits? They claim better spool up and extra power due to better air flow any one experience this? Or have idle issues after? Car is h-dev stage 1. Thanks

From what I remember very high powered cars would see the trunk collapse hence replaced with a hard pipe. Otherwise the trunk is ok.

Probably not worth it on a stage 1 running 14psi other than more engine bay bling. Did hear someone say that it causes a rough idle?

Yes wouldnt bother unless you get a proper apexi one. Something about the volume of the trunk, you can't just replace it with 3 inch pipe or whatever

They’ll be like rocking horse shit now! Wonder if there will be any faster spool up with one?

Biggest difference you’ll notice will be the amplified turbo chatter if not running a recirc/bov

I'll give you a grand if you notice anything other than noise.

They are just bling and preventative measures for collapsing intakes.

    Get one. They're cool.

mine is metal and the intake noise is loud as f**k. if its sucking the standard intake shut then you would be either missing the internal spring or your air filter is too restrictive.
