    Drift bible thoughts...

Watched the Drift bible the other day. It was nothing if not an education. I had no idea so much of the drift was done under braking, being of the School of the "Massive clutch kick" to get things going.
Clearly I am going to have to practice some more, as i realise that I am still not drifting properly yet. I can come out of a turn on fullopposite lock I am favouring the Feint drift at the moment, but does anyone else have any thoughts on which technique is easiest to learn?
    Regards,
    astraboy.

They must be sort of valid still, i mean they are the same sorts of cars we are using now so what has changed? I'm guessing its that these techniques are for novices and that the advanced drivers use different ones?

what ever changed I can only imagin that it could make you drift around a track faster - to have fun the techniques of the bible are as much as you need to get started... IMHO

As the drift King himself says, "if in doubt pull the e-brake"

He makes it sound so simple.

the techniques shown are quite dated, but it's worth watching to get to grips with racedrift.. basically iniating a drift is done slightly differently in more modern drift, usually well before the point where he's starting in that vid..

Ahh, i see. Do you mean he starts to drift kind of mid corner but now most people seem to be drifting before they hit the corner? If this is the case then is it not really difficult to intiate the drift before the corner?

    Top .sig file, mate!

He's pitching in and then initiating a drift. Also, a lot of the work he does is higher speed than we drift at. It seems to be more 'circuit' style than 'show style' drift.

I'm a fan of kicks, power over and feint. Bit of left foot where required and try to never run out of lock.

Yeah I noticed that. He doesent even approach any of the stuff that you do at the start of the drift in your "Das is guut" clip.
The other good thing about it is its ovivious how much he loves what he does. He repeatedly mentions how much fun you're gonna have when you start drifting, even through an intepreter you can tell he is having a great time making the video.
    Which is ace
