assuming they're standard wheels?
the wheels I've got arent standard but I dont no what kind and or any other details about them, but they wont fit over the calipers
is it the circumference or the depth from the hub that is the problem I have a set of 17" rims and they have an et of 35 and I have had to use 5mm spacers to get them to fit
You need to have the right shape behind the wheel and that will depend on rim size, ET and spoke shape.
You might be able to make enough room by fitting spacers.
On standard wheels...
Facelifts without webbing require 5mm spacers
Facelifts with webbing need 15mm spacers
and prefacelifts can't be made to fit (I don't think but not 100%).
Most 17in aftermarket wheel fit.
its 15's that were on the car when i bought it so I dont no what there for! there multi fit?
The spokes hit off the calipers and the centre part of the wheel doesnt make contact with the hub at all.
So chances are those wheels aren't going to fit without a whopping great spacer.
thats about it arry, I'm probably goin to need 15-20 mm spacers as there space is quite big between the hub and the wheel when striking the caliper
Arse!
I stand corrected.
Post some pics, Raymond. Someone may be able to identify the wheels
You could try wacking some fat washers over two of the studs and trial fitting the wheel until you can see you have clearance and then measuring the thickness made up by the washers. That would tell you roughly what spacers you need.
Also, read up on here about spacers before you buy them.
I'll get pictures done tonite hopefully, I had then off recently but there are no markings or numbers on them, there multi fit wheels but a dnt think they were intended for the sx somehow!!
Look at the back of the wheel. This is where the size and make of the wheel is usualy stamped.
nope like a sed theres no writing that I can see, or any stamps on engravings or anythin, no-namers!!!!
