picked up my new car today

so i had been toying with selling the "beast from the far east" for some time and planning get something else but was thinking about money and stuff how much to spend should i should nt I . Losing a good friend recently (RIP quinners) put it into perspective for me, life is for living you cant spend it if your not here so a raid of the piggy bank and then put the SX up for sale and it went quickly. Nothing original here with the replacment in sxoc panzer style. wanted a late one, alway liked them and went for this...."the bravarian bruiser"

tried a few,, decent spec, imaculate inside, full history, receipts and this one drove tight and had done its last cocaine deal. said Little prayer that nothing big goes wrong and put a deposit down. chuffed to bits with it. when you get it up on its toes its ace but does the chillled very well as well:thumbs: the noise :smitten:
I ll probably see a stage one sx out and about and ill end up in driving tales :D:wack:
 
Very nice mate, how does it compare speed wise as the sx? I expect it'll be in a different league around the twistys :)
 
Its different mate it needs revs to really get going but 5-8k it starts to motor. steering is better turns in well and it just feels solid, carved from rock lol. Drove to the in laws to Wales on my favourite road and easily as quick as the sx down there but on the road you can't take the piss too much and I've only had it a day but looking down at the speedo at times.....whoops
 
Just one Paul I promised myself no more modding but if there's one thing thats shit on them its the brakes and it was the best mod i put on the sx

Yeah i know what you mean,i can't own anything without upping the brakes,even my pushbikes:D
 
Great cars but just so boring stock. Get the cats out and mapped up with decent brakes its a totally different thing but fuel economy goes out the window.
 
Done about 140 miles driving it back and then going to wales and seeing 25 on the trip computer. Mostly steady (as that all you can do these days) and a few bits of balls out.;)
when i was stuck in traffic crawling through town 15mpg:wack:. I reckon it going to be the about same as the sx to be fair in the long run. Doing 5k a year its not the end of the world for me. would get expensive if you had to run one daily :nod:
 
Mum has a 2006 soft top in carbon black too. Its great fun to drive. I dont think they need modding, just nice to have a comfy, quiet car that is fast enough and fun round the bends.
