I'll move this to non 200 motoring, you'll get more responces there!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

If there are no fuses out then it sounds like you may have spiked the instrument cluster and killed something Unless there is a small fuse within the instrument cluster.

Have you got any wiring diagrams? Maybe check to see that you have 12V to the cluster, and then any voltages from the senders, if you have, but still nothing moving then I'd say the clocks are dead. Could be fixed but you'd have to take them apart and take a look.

Check for voltage at the cluster first

If that does not help you a gallon of petrol and a match should fix it lol

sounds like you havent reconnected all the cables or connectors back on to the battery. its easily done.

Yep, im assuming its the later digital mileage type of dials. its usually fixed by disconnecting the battery for 20mins then reconnecting.

All the dials are controlled by the same MCU so if it has blown it causes the same problem and the easiest solution is to replace the clocks. Its all surface mount stuff.. no fuses.

I have sent you a PM with the connector pinouts so you can check them over.

Give me a PM if it comes to that, ive got a few sets lying around and have the equipment to set the mileage to match the car.

None of that stuff is needed for the MOT. Get a GPS or satnav for the speedo, drive it into the ground, then in two years time sell it to some gormless chav, as "low mileage, good condition"

    (don't do this)

It's a Saxo that he got for free, if it dies just buy another one for a tenner.

Can of petrol in the boot and RAC cover. Sorted
