Question York Dragway 9th May 0-60 challenge

Anybody know anything about this event? What vehicles are likely to turn up etc. I'm not interested in spectating if it's a load of max-power stylee cars but if you or the GTR guys and girls are gonna run I'll come take a looksie.
    http://yorkdragway.intrica.co.uk/

Apparently it's £30.00 to run and £10.00 on the gate to spectate.

    Thanks.

    Sandy

    Hiya Sandy,

How r u girly? if you are going to go down i would like to come along for the ride if you got space in yer little baby. The reason i ask for the lift is i may not be driving by then. Let me know what u r doing.

    Hey Stu,

How you managing with the not driving matey?

I'm aiming to head to the dragway...it's turning into a bit of an MX-5 Yorkshire meet bu the sounds of it...it'll be a good blat over as much as anything else. Have no idea who else is running tho' but I'll let you know. I'd be glad of the company if you fancy it. I'll e-mail you when I have more details.

I'm heading to Croft on the 29th May if you need/want a ride to that one Matey. I've blagged a co-driver spot in a turbo charged MX-5. You Guys are soooooo easy...hehe. Me needs a helmet tho' (Calling Mr Lenagh )

Si, Who you calling a wuss? Who says I'm not gonna run my Baby? £30.00 is tempting to the young Peachy.

Errrrr Please Sir, I think you'll find that Uncle Si was being smutty. As if I'd ever mention polishing and your helmet in the same sentence? (joke)

York dragway is on the 9th May and Croft is on the 29th May. I'm not sure but I think I saw Bren's name down for Croft. I will check.

I've gleaned only this snippet about the event on the 9th May thus far

"Fancy pitting your car against the clock?

York Raceway and the Pennine Drag Racing Club are finalising detail for their 0-60 Challenge to be staged on 9th May.

There will be trophies awarded for: Quickest Overall, Quickest V8, Quickest normally aspirated V8, Quickest 6-cylinder, quickest 4-cylinder.

There will also be categories for quickest and fastest 1/4 mile passes on the day - since all the timing equipment will be running. Each lane at the track at York Raceway has a shell grip surface to launch from as well as a conventional smooth surface – it’s the competitor’s choice.

Anyone who would still like to compete should email howardholmes@btinternet.com as soon as possible.

    Link: www.york-raceway.co.uk "

I'm being enquiring (read as annoying) tho.
