    Post Website designers comments please

I do a little bit of website design and management and was wondering whether flash is worth learning.

Having no knowledge of its fundamentals, is it quick to pick up and time well spent £ wise?

Flash isn't too bad to learn, and it's even easier for the complex / tricky stuff if you've got half a clue about scripting and the like. As for £ well spent.. dunno :

Yes yes yes! Learn Flash. Its very easy to pick up, even the 'complex' stuff are pretty simple once you get your head around the timelines and scripting langauge.

Also try and figure out Dreamweaver UltraDev. Most web design companies are creating intelligent database driven websites now, so if you wanna safe job, get learning!

Another thing to look into is Director (although bloody complex!)...

If you are after a job... contact me with your CV: richard@shineipk.com as we are on the look for GOOD designers.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Colin,

Knowing what you do for a living you can easily learn flash by yourself I'm sure! - so it won't cost you anything...

Personally I try to avoid creating websites supporting proprietary file formats (e.g. flash)..
